Father's Day

I took Braden to pick out cards on Friday. He LOVES the music cards, and they had a great selection for Dad's, Rocky, Superman, etc. But not for our boy! He picked the Tommy Boy card that plays the censored version of the Dad's favorite sales pitch in the movie.

From Mason he picked the cutest card of a boy and a monkey on the front, and it said "my brother and I want to wish you a Happy Father's Day"

During the cards and gifts, Mason was quite content to spill his cheerios on the floor and eat them as he found them.

Braden made a book and 2 great drawings for Blake, he even wrapped them himself.

He even picked out the picture he wanted to take to put in the back. This picture was from Kindergarten Round-Up and Braden and Blake were standing on the steps of his new school.

Mason also had a gift that he helped make at school. It was the cutest picture frame made out of popsicle sticks.

This box of goodies was from all of us. Yes, there was even a tie included.

One of the gifts was a special running shirt. Braden wanted to look just like dad, so he put on his T-ball shorts that have the same logo as this running shirt, and then his swim shirt, it's kinda made out of the same material.

Cousins

A few recent (just yesterday) pics of the new babies in the Benson family. Nicole and Ivy, along with Aunts Kelli & Tish and I think Grandma took a trip to Marion to introduce Ivy to Cameron. I do believe they are a month old as of the weekend.

Yard Sales, T-Ball, Cookouts and Bath time!

Friday night I had the pleasure of attending a VIP viewing at our good freinds, The Wixson's Yard Sale. I'm not sure Blake was excited about this as I was. I love his philosophy of "whatever it takes..." he was trying to get Braden's plate together, so when Mason found the paper recycling bag, Blake said "go for it, if it keeps you happy!"

Our T-Ball game on Saturday went great! This of course is "after" the game, the Jolly Trolly was in the right place! Braden got his first injury, a line-drive hit him right below the knee, there were a few tears, but not many. He had a few great hits, but on one, he wanted to watch where it went and got out at first. This all happened without tears, too! I assured him it happens to Pujols, too. Blake informed me that it doesn't!!!

Our game was at 1:oo smack dab in the middle of Mason's nap time. He stayed awake for most of it and finally gave in to the sand man! We let him finish his nap in the shade while Braden enjoyed his snow cone!

We were invited to an impromtu cookout at the Wixson's on Saturday night.

Ahh, what's this?

Feels good on my gums! Hope Mom doesn't put that camera down and take it away!

Uh oh, where did Dad go?

Look, no hands!

Braden and Gracie, look at those great table manners!

My VIP trip to the yard sale paid off. Braden is now the proud owner of bunk beds. He feels like a king in his castle! I get to be the princess, Mason the prince, and Daddy a Knight.

A few gifts for Mason

Thank you so much for all of the cards and packages that have arrived for both boys! We didn't have time on Wednesday morning or evening to do presents, so we got to it Saturday morning, before Braden's T-Ball game.

No Dad, Don't Make Me! I don't know why but this picture CRACKS ME UP. I don't know why I thought I could prop Mason up on the dining room table and he would be happy to sit still and open his gifts. Blake had a better idea of putting him on the floor.

And of course everyone needs a Cardinal binky!

It's T-Ball Season!

This year's T-Ball season is a little more intense than our first season last year. Even with our first game being the same day Mr. Mason arrived! Blake, aka Dad, aka Coach, has to have practice. They've had two so far, and this was our first game. I think he was a little spoiled by all of the helpful parents on our team last year.

Below you can see his only volunteers, one boy's 12 year old sister, Carli, and Roger, Jr's dad, Roger.

And he scores!
