Snow Day 3

While Braden, Mason and I were playing Wii, building with blocks and hanging out cuddled up on the couch, Blake was out shoveling drive ways (ours and our neighbors') trekking through the knee deep snow to take out the trash, knocking down icicles off the house, and taking these GREAT pictures.

We were fascinated at this lumpy snow, must be how it fell through the lattice.

I love how the tree's shadows fall perfectly across the snow! A little artistic.....

The poor lawn mower

Blake's truck had to go back in the shop on Monday, for the third time in a very short time, so this was the little car he rented just in time to be buried in the snow.

Popsicles with the Icicles

Even though there are icicles hanging off our house, Mason still wanted a popsicle for dessert!

Like a Queen

As always, my guys treated me like a Queen on my birthday! Considering how awesome my Christmas present was, I had no expectations for my birthday. Even if I had, Blake would have exceeded them, as always!

He and Mason worked very hard on a chocolate chocolate chip bundt cake, and delicious Salmon patties.

The boys had to help blow out the candles....two's not bad, right!

Can you see the concern in Braden's face...because Mason is about to knock the three over! He is our little hall monitor!

Braden was so proud of this GIANT diamond ring he "found" to give me for my birthday.

And then came the singing cards! Braden and Mason each got to pick out a singing card, and both thought they were just for their enjoyment.

Braden was extremely tickled because his said something about "burgers and fries, going to your thighs" hmmmm......

A day for sledding

In Pittsburg, there is an infamous hill for sledding, especially on snow days. Our first snow day this year, happened to be on January 11. We stopped in to see Blake at the Chamber and one of his co-workers asked if we had been sledding. That's all it took. Braden was relentless. So I bundled him up, to the point that his seat belt barely fit over him, and I took the new camera for a test drive!

Love that I got this expression!

I'm back!

Sorry if you've missed the constant images of our family popping up in your email! I've had a learning curve with my fancy new camera, and it lets me take a TON of pictures, so I have to look at each one before I dare hit the delete button! But I think I've got it figured out! One thing I will say....this camera gets Mason with eyes OPEN everytime!!!!!

On Tuesday morning, we woke up to 12 inches of snow. Needless to say, no one went to school, daycare or work! Blake ventured out to check on the Chamber, get a few more groceries and test the streets. They forecast called it correctly, and it was a mad dash to the store for everyone. On Monday night I got one of the last two gallons of milk left at the grocery store!

Blake's Baptism

After church on Sunday, Blake was baptized at the YMCA indoor pool. Our church does not have an indoor facility for immersion baptism, but often use a nearby lake. Considering the temperature, Blake was much more comfortable at the YMCA indoor pool.

The biggest obstacle was explaining to the boys, we weren't there for them to swim. First they just wanted to dip these noodles in the water, then they wanted to dip their toes. Fortunately that's as wet as they got.

Our good friend, and church elder, Drew Rhodes assisted our Pastor, KO Noonoo

I was so grateful, that one of Mason's favorite teachers from daycare, Ms. Polly, was there as well. She is also a church elder, and is awesome to both Mason and Braden!
